I've tried VirtualDub, with okay results, the sound clips too much, and the video randomly stutters. I've tried VLC, which doesn't display while recording. Just want something to record my "drives" in Forza, or whatever else I do.
I don't have the console hooked up to a TV, but it's going directly into my Hauppauge tuner card via PCI-E with RCA cables. I'm running at 480i with the original cable.

Thanks, one of the controllers started flying away, and I needed to catch it somehow. I secured the console down though, it's got going anywhere.

I don't have an answer for you, but would you mind elaborating a bit on just how you have it hooked up and configured?

I have it hooked up directly into a tuner card on my PC, which is connected on the motherboard. I found that even previewing the video with sound on makes the video stutter recording with Virtualdub regardless of the source. I tried a variety of other PVR programs which refuse to use the AV/S-Video ports for whatever reason.

Ok thanks, what do you have to do to the PC (if anything) to be able to use the XBox?
Is there a program or settings that you have to change to view what's on the XBox, or does it switch automatically when the XBox is turned on?

I'm using virtualdub, a video editing and capture program for the PC to use the Xbox, and it's also the program that I am using to record. I just managed to fix the stuttering by disabling sound playback in the preview.
